DR MAGDALENA CAJIC-SEIGNEUR

Dr Magdalena Cajic-Seigneur works in the fields of academic research, pre-16 and post-16 learning, and higher education. She has a Doctorate in Education from UCL Institute of Education (UK), the world-leading centre for research and teaching in education and social science. She has a Master’s Degree in Research Methodology: Social Psychology from the London School of Economics (LSE), PGCE from University of Greenwich, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Insurance from London Guildhall University. She is an active member of UCL Institute of Education’s Centre for Post-14 Education and Work and the UCL Institute of Education’s Centre for Research in Autism and Education. Her expertise is in Teaching and Learning, Educational Policy, Special Education and Curriculum Theory, for example, Alternative Curriculum nested within National Curriculum (Primary, Secondary and SEN) for social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) learners. Magdalena is a teacher researcher who has conducted and facilitated large research projects. She is engaged in researching Primary, Secondary and SEND Curricula; experiential teaching and learning of English and Maths; and the impact of extra-curricular activities, such as Yoga and Drama, on the engagement and attainment of learners. Magdalena is an experienced staff development trainer and seminar speaker. She is a passionate advocate of inclusive learning, utilising her earlier career in hospitality and catering management to embed experiential, work-based learning and teaching strategies to enable her learners to achieve. Magdalena has supervised hundreds of Further and Higher Education students to academic and personal success.
